Open Access Policy
This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that providing free access to research helps to increase global knowledge sharing.
Peruvian Journal of Agronomy of the Faculty of Agronomy of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Lima, Peru, is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed storage system among participating libraries and allows the creation of permanent archives in the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
Authors must strictly comply with the rules of publication ethics, as established in the COPE. Falsification, invention of data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, lack of due citation, misappropriation of work, among others, are unacceptable practices. Cases of ethical misconduct will be treated very seriously in accordance with the COPE.
Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of work, in whole or in part, without proper citation is not admitted by the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal, to verify their originality, are reviewed using PlagScan anti-plagiarism software.
Peer review process
The editor checks that the article received adheres to the editorial line of the journal. If it does, the article is submitted to a double-blind peer review process. The reviewers are from outside the institution, they can express their opinions and suggestions on the "review form" within a maximum period of 21 days, recommending the acceptance or rejection of the article. If the article does not adhere to the editorial line of the journal, the editor reserves the right to send a report to the author in order to change or remake the article, in whole or in part. In the worst case, the article is rejected and is communicated to the authors, attaching a report with the reasons for the rejection. The final decision of acceptance or denial of the article is made by the editor of the journal.
Note: To facilitate peer review process, authors may send the contact details of two (2) potential reviewers, specialists in the subject matter of the article. However, the editor will make the final decision.
Digital preservation policies
The journal content is continuously deposited in the Internet Archive.
The authors retain their trademark and patent rights, and also the processes or procedures described in the article.
The authors retain the right to share, copy, distribute, execute and publicly communicate the article published in the Peruvian Journal of Agronomy, with an acknowledgment of its initial publication. Authors retain unrestricted copyright and all publishing rights.
Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their paper in an institutional or subject repository.
