Abstract

Labyrinths of Memory is Marcos Yauri Montero's reinterpretation of oral tales and Andean myths. This is the result of his expertise as a literary scholar who also possesses a comprehensive view of the heterogeneity of literary production in Peru and the ability to argue for a place of parity with canonical literature—that is, to place Quechua literature, both oral and written, within the corpus of Peruvian literature.
