Buscando el (buen) sentido en la transformación del sistema alimentario en México a través de las narrativas contrahegemónicas emergentes en las comunidades indígenas y rurales de Oaxaca

México está al borde de una crisis de salud pública debido principalmente al cambio en su sistema alimentario, el cual se caracteriza por un drástico incremento en enfermedades relacionadas con el modo de alimentación. Iniciativas sobre cómo revertir estas tendencias van desde la educación en nutrición con un enfoque descendente o top-down, hasta demandar la regulación de las industrias de alimentos y bebidas. Optando por una aproximación diferente, este trabajo se enfoca en las perspectivas y las prácticas de los mexicanos rurales, las cuales fueron obtenidas mediante una investigación cualitativa realizada en siete comunidades rurales de Oaxaca durante un periodo de seis años. En esta investigación, se encuentra una crítica emergente al sistema alimentario capitalista contemporáneo, que tiene su raíz en la expresión de los lazos con la producción, la preparación y el consumo de los alimentos, y con la historia comunitaria. Se analizan estos hallazgos por medio del concepto del «buen sentido» de Gramsci, entendido como la base del pensamiento crítico para una transformación revolucionaria entre clases subalternas. Se sitúa esta idea en la literatura reciente que abarca el conocimiento corporal y la política visceral, sugiriendo que estas ideas y percepciones tienen el potencial de desafiar la creciente hegemonía del sistema alimentario corporativo, y de contribuir a la expansión de movimientos sociales en defensa de la tierra y la vida.
