Proceso de revisión por pares / Peer review process
Los artículos enviados la revista Tierra Nuestra son sometidos a un proceso de evaluación por pares:
(1) Recepción de artículos. El Equipo Editorial de la revista revisará el cumplimiento de las Directrices para autores establecidas por la revista. El manuscrito es revisado con un software anti plagio (Turnitin), los trabajos con más del 20% de similitud en textos, incluyendo textos reciclados (autoplagio) serán rechazados. Los trabajos que no cumplan con las indicaciones de las Directrices para autores no serán aceptados. Este proceso dura aproximadamente tres semanas.
(2) Revisión por pares: El Editor responsable revisa el manuscrito, puede sugerir cambios, correcciones o rechazar el manuscrito si no está dentro de los propósitos de la revista o si tiene errores significativos y visibles. El Editor responsable solicitará la evaluación del manuscrito a revisores anónimos externos, mínimo dos (revisión por pares doble ciego). Los revisores serán seleccionados por su conocimiento sobre el tema al que se refiere el trabajo a evaluar y no debe tener conflictos de intereses. Se solicita al revisor evaluar el trabajo según las normas y criterios internacionales de calidad para la publicación. Este proceso tiene dura dos meses. Los revisores no reciben remuneración.
(3) Los revisores emiten sugerencias y recomendaciones para mejorar el artículo en el “Formato de evaluación”. El editor responsable resume la evaluación y notifica al autor correspondiente sobre la decisión del manuscrito. En el caso de sugerencias y correcciones, el autor dispone de 20 a 30 días para resolverlas y remitirlas. Las correcciones pueden ser explícitas en el manuscrito o enviadas en un archivo aparte.
(4) Aceptación y versión maquetada. El trabajo tiene la condición de ACEPTADO cuando ha pasado el proceso de revisión y el autor ha realizado la totalidad de las correcciones y modificaciones indicadas. El trabajo aceptado es enviado a corrección de estilo y diagramación. La versión maquetada será enviada al autor para que sea revisada y devuelta con su conformidad y el permiso para su publicación.
(5). La decisión final de aceptación o rechazo del artículo la toma el editor jefe de la revista, en el peor de los casos, el artículo es rechazado y se comunica a los autores, adjuntando un informe con los motivos del rechazo.

The articles submitted to the Tierra Nuestra journal undergo a peer review process:
(1) Receipt of articles. The Editorial Team of the journal will review the compliance with the Guidelines for authors established by the journal. The manuscript is reviewed with an anti-plagiarism software (Ouriginal), papers with more than 20% of similarity in texts, including recycled texts (self-plagiarism) will be rejected. Papers that do not comply with the indications of the Guidelines for Authors will not be accepted. This process takes approximately three weeks.
(2) Peer review: The responsible Editor reviews the manuscript, may suggest changes, corrections or reject the manuscript if it is not within the purposes of the journal or if it has significant and visible errors. The responsible Editor will request the evaluation of the manuscript to external anonymous reviewers, minimum two (double-blind peer review). The reviewers will be selected for their knowledge of the subject to which the work to be evaluated refers and should not have conflicts of interest. The reviewer is asked to evaluate the work according to international standards and quality criteria for publication. This process lasts two months. Reviewers are not remunerated.
(3) The reviewers make suggestions and recommendations to improve the article in the "Evaluation Form". The responsible editor summarizes the evaluation and notifies the corresponding author about the decision of the manuscript. In the case of suggestions and corrections, the author has 20 to 30 days to resolve and submit them. Corrections may be explicit in the manuscript or sent in a separate file.
(4) Acceptance and e-proof version. The paper has the status of ACCEPTED when it has passed the review process and the author has made all the corrections and modifications indicated. The accepted paper is sent for style and layout correction. The e-proof version will be sent to the author for review and returned with his or her agreement and permission for publication.
(5). The final decision of acceptance or rejection of the article is made by the editor-in-chief of the journal, in the worst case, the article is rejected, and the authors are informed, attaching a report with the reasons for rejection.
